Avioxx Champions Innovation in European Aerospace at Aerospace Tech Week 2025

This month, Avioxx was exclusively selected by Aerospace Tech Week (ATW) event organisers Terrapinn Events to showcase its innovative approach to making Sustainable Aviation Fuel at ATW Europe; a prestigious event held this year in Munich which aims to recognise leaders in engineering and technological innovation within the aerospace industry.

ATW connects senior executives and technical leaders of large airlines with innovators in the aerospace field to discuss, connect and collaborate on emerging trends, challenges and opportunities. With 120+ speakers, 20+ topics and over 2,500 industry experts attending across the two days, it was an honour for Avioxx to be invited to such an insightful event.

Avioxx engaged with a wide range of European aviation leaders - from Boeing and Airbus representatives to Flight Operations Directors and Zero Emission Aviation Managers - the team partook in valuable discussions on the importance of new fuel flight safety and sustainable options for the future of air travel. As the only waste-to-SAF (sustainable aviation fuel) company at the event, it was an exceptional opportunity to raise Avioxx’s international profile and connect with others dedicated to creating a more sustainable future for the aerospace industry.

Numerous discussions centred on enhancing sustainability within the aviation and aerospace sectors, with several ‘fireside talks’ highlighting the pressing need for increased investment - both in terms of time and financial resources - to meet Net Zero targets. There was a clear acknowledgement of the critical role Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) will play in this transition, highlighting the importance of starting with small-scale initiatives while maintaining a long-term, ambitious vision. Across these conversations, themes of safety, collaboration, and sustained commitment consistently emerged as fundamental topics to achieving meaningful progress within the aviation industry.

"The mindset and standards need to change towards innovation"

Anna Von Groote - EUROCAE

The event featured a dedicated segment for start-ups, providing a platform for emerging companies to present their innovative solutions, technologies, and ideas contributing to the future of aviation. With a strong emphasis on forward-thinking solutions and sustainability, the event brought together key figures from across the industry; including aerobatic pilot Melanie Astles who participated in an interview alongside Avioxx CEO, Chris Hancock. The interview highlighted Avioxx’s innovation and long term goals along with the company's ambitions for the future of sustainable air travel. For Avioxx, it was a valuable opportunity not only to educate industry peers about the company’s pioneering approach to converting household waste into sustainable aviation fuel, but also to explore potential partnerships and gather critical insights to support the ongoing development of its SAF production capabilities.

"Munich was a great opportunity to share Avioxx’s vision, connect with key players and gain insights to shape our next phase. Being one of the only cleantech companies there, we saw first-hand the growing role of software, AI and machine learning in making aviation more sustainable."

Chris Hancock - Avioxx CEO

We would like to thank Terrapinn for inviting Avioxx to the Aerospace Tech Week and hope to attend again in the future.
